Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 2,500 people living in an area of 47.6 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations, one is located on Ridge Road in Medina and the other in Knowlesville, NY, the stations protect a primarily rural area. View our locations page for exact directions.  Our department provides service and protection to Ridgeway Township in the Western Fire Battalion of Orleans County, NY.  

The Ridgeway Volunteer Fird Department is funded by tax payers and fund raising events from the community.  You can support your local fire department by participating in fund raisers or donating directly. 

Volunteer firefighting is a very rewarding and valuable way to serve your community. It takes dedication and many hours of training to become a firefighter. If you’re willing to put in the time and effort, please call us and we will give you the proper direction.
